It's nice to be back in Utah after a 5600 mile uneventful road trip to the outer banks of North Carolina in my reliable Jeep XJ "Shadow".

The one thing that I've learned both traveling and adventuring in nature is, for me, that it's one of the most enjoyable things a person can do in life.

So don't postpone adventure, and the joy that it brings

  So as I hiked the virgin river in the Narrows most of the day and enjoying its beauty, taking photos and enjoying the fresh canyon air. I was looking for signs of trout and saw none in the Virgin river, but when I got back to the trailhead it was such a gorgeous day I just had to wet and line. I didn't catch any fish, what I caught were these beautifully lit Desert Birch against the dark red black cliffs of the narrows. The catch of the day photographically.  ~enjoy~
